Working in school.

Finally done with being a telephone surveyor for 4 days(initially it was set to be 6 days!). Experience gotten, I'm done. Not something I would want to do again. Can't imagine how telemarketers work everyday. -_- I'd rather station somewhere and interview people vis a vis!

Anyhow, school timetable has been confirmed!
I'm not taking French 2 anymore due to bad timings. :( Oh well. & I went for my first lesson @ JCS language school already. Not too bad I supposed, just that their pace is different from IKOMA's, so I guess it'll be more slack for me. :) It's good in a way since I REALLY NEED TO REVISE.
First lesson and I had 2 dictations!!! (I haven't written a single japanese character in 6 months fyi!)

Okay I'm gonna go back to my readings!!!
Need to buck up already, holiday mood has set in for way toooooo long. Just did my comms quiz and gotten 14/15. So annoying, shall attempt it again! Going chinatown with XQ, K & Laurence later!!! <3

2012!

Au revoir, 2011! You have been very awesome. :)

In 2011,

1. I started drinking and clubbing, to discover that I am quite a good drinker and such a party animal.
2. I started paying adult fare for transport, and it stinks. (even though I have concession now, it's still as expensive!!!
3. I registered for driving lessons, and spent the entire trying to get my license but failed. It has to continue this year... OMG I SHOULD STOP PROCRASTINATING!!! I'm only wasting my own money. :(
4. I started working for Lancome as a beauty advisor, and I love this title. HAHA. I love this job though it gets competitive and ugly sometimes. I met really nice people too. :) & at the end of this month, I can officially say that I've worked in this beauty line for a year. Whoa.
5. I started giving tuition. I had a total of 7 students, with a record of teaching 5 students individually at the same period of time. It was crazy, I wonder where I got all the time in the world from.
6. I earned my first 4-digits salary, with my highest hitting a SGD$2000! I'm not sure if the total amount of sum I earned the entire 2011 has hit SGD$10000, but I guess I'm more or less near. :D
7. I spent a bomb on learning 'lessons' in fields I'm not familiar with and I know I'll never go close to them again.
8. A close friend went missing. And up till now, I'm still frustrated.
   
9. I explored my hometown(way to go!) and gotten the chance to build a strong bond with my cousin.
   
10. I went to Seoul with ahchoo. My first trip to somewhere so far with a friend and the entire expenses was paid by myself. :) Not to mention, we had language barrier in this country but it was all so good!
11. I witnessed the phenomenon of SNOWING. ^.^
12. I had a white Christmas!
13. I upgraded my camera to Sony Nex-3 and I'm loving it.
    
14. I almost lost my passport and it's the scariest thing ever.
15. I had my annual great fall.
16. I bought my first luxury good with my own money: Kate Spade wallet.
    
17. My make up stash looks pretty crazy and I guess I'm getting more vain.
18. I realised I'm quite insecure about my naked face. I hate pimples and pores. Who doesn't?
19. I entered the big U. & I love it! I am so lucky to meet awesome people like XQ, K & L, I can't imagine university life without them now!
20. I discovered my love for cooking my own favourite food. MORE TO COME! Till my oven gets fixed!
    
21. I am always inspired. I learnt to cherish life better, because I am so fortunate. :)
22. Love got me down in 2009 real bad, I was on the route of recovery in 2010, and hence was 2011 was loveless BUT AWESOME. Being single isn't that bad after all, and I learnt a lot. I mean, I was in a relationship from 2005-2009, and barely a break in between. I thought I had it all, but I was wrong. It definitely made me stronger, and I finally am doing things for myself, for my own future that I want. I won't avoid love if it comes, but I guess I had set some standards that are pretty hard to achieve. But good guys are worth the wait too, right? :)
23. I started learning French. Bonjour!
24. I had Japanese lessons at Ikoma for a good 6 months and got my JLPT N5 certificate!!!
25. I dyed my hair 3 times and permed it. It's in such a damaged state right now I can't wait to chop the ends off soon!
26. I DIDN'T LOSE MY PHONE.
    

This is a brief summary of what I can recall about my 2011. And all in all, I loved it. :)
I don't really have a list of new year resolutions, but I do have a lot of aims in mind!
May my 2012 be even better and more fulfilling! A good year awaits! ^^

MISS YU

Born on 6 November '92 in Shanghai, virgin trip on the airplane at the age of 3 when she moved to Singapore. First language was Shanghainese. Only child thanks to the one child policy back then. Sang in the Choir in Primary School, played the alto saxophone in the military band in Secondary School, then the tenor saxophone in the concert band in Junior College. Currently majoring in Linguistics & Multilingual Studies in NTU. Part time Beauty Advisor for Lancôme Paris. Tutor for Primary & Secondary School students.
Learnt some basic design sketching(fashion), yoga and modern jazz - and loved them. Loves travelling, beauty stuff, food, photography and languages. Learning 日本語, Française & la lingua italiana. Wants to learn German and play the cello.
