Fun-O-Rama XXI et The Hunger Games
Headed back to AC in the afternoon with the gang for the biannual Fun-O-Rama! Bumped into many familiar faces and met some teachers(got reminded why I hated the place a lil). Nevertheless, there were still good memories and I guess I shan't rant too much on the bad.Z, C & I bought $20 worth of coupons each and eventually couldn't use them up -- ended up buying some lame merchandise 'cos the rest are WAY TOO PRICEY. Okay, it's AC, what's new! We were literally melting under the scorching(understatement) sun >_> Also, bumped into N and eeeeks, I went all tensed up and they all started making fun of me. -_- Awkward much, gah.
Took some polaroids but am lazy to scan in so no peeeektures!
Tuition thereafter and met up with pepek for the highly-raved-about movie!
Personally I expected more because it was as mentioned, SO HIGHLY RAVED ABOUT. But there weren't developments in many parts of the movie. I didn't read the book so I don't know how it's gonna be like so I expect the movie to tell me -- unfortunately it left me hanging in many parts of the show. I went like huh? Shouldn't there be more developments here? yada yada.
And then, I got home feeling very disturbed by the story. I mean, what's the rationale behind this "hunger game"? To portray the rich having more power than the poor? Then, they are to fight and kill each other to survive? The ruthless killings and etc were created via humans! These 24 tributes were in a game scene created virtually by other humans. I mean, they use these real humans as toys? Say what?
Okay it's just my opinion but nevertheless, it's not too bad either. It kind of kept me alert for the entire 2.5hours. So I shall give it a 3.5/5.

I hate Sunday mornings when I have to cab to work. That is obviously because I was going to be late. And the purpose of cabbing is SO THAT I CAN BE ON TIME, OR AT LEAST, THE VERY LEAST, FASTER IF I WERE TO TAKE PUBLIC TRANSPORT.
So I was really pissed off this morning 'cos I left house at 9.45AM(I have to reach by 10AM, if not, 1025AM -- just before Isetan opens). So technically, if I manage to grab a cab within 15minutes, I'll still be fine. But today, I waited for a damn cab for 45MINUTES. You gotta be kidding me, I could have reached via MRT already. FML!!! Not that I didn't try to on-call, I tried freaking 3-4 times, holding the phone like a retard by the roadside until the damn voice over the phone told me THERE IS NO FREAKING TAXI IN MY AREA. SAY WHAAAAAT?!?!?! Yes, so ALL the taxis, and I really mean ALL, were changing shifts/had passengers. KANASAI.
Eventually, my call finally got through and I spent freaking $17. I am so not satisfied with the taxis in Singapore. Urghhhhh. Totally not serving the purpose.
Okay enough of negative emotions. (Release release release...)
Bought new coloured lenses! Splurged another $80 on this, better make full use of them this time. I still have my purple lenses over @ J's crib from NYE. -_- Okay, gotta leave this space and work on my HW0201 ppt slides already. Another hectic week ....... I can't wait for Friday already.
