HOLA! This space has finally changed appearance!
Spent some time this evening(yesterday) browsing through blogskins.com and played with html codes again. It's like catching up with my old love. HAHA.

Anyway days have been spent really well, be it slacking or using my brain cells to absorb more Japanese stuff.
Within 2 weeks, I finished 2 Taiwan drama series - 下一站，幸福 & 海派甜心! (Y)
Both made me "awww" here and there, cried like a retard in front of my laptop screen. HAHA.
I know they're all typical love stories with expected happy endings, but the twists in between with many plots similar to our own lives has made me come to some realisations too! :)

Went for last minute CNY clothes shopping just now at town.
Bought that pair of velvet black booties from Charles & Keith!!! It was freaking on 40% sale, original price was $69.90! I almost bought it on impulse on many occasions in December, but I resisted cos I didn't bear to spend almost $70 on my feet. Plus I know I wouldn't wear it often since the heels are at least 6inches! & NOW, I'M SO MAD ELATED!!! :D :D :D

Bought a pair of denim shorts for $25 from F21! Such a good buy, and it's so comfy & stretchy! I was tempted to buy the Pull and Bear's denim shorts initially, but it was like $39.90 so I hesitated. I AM SO HAPPY WITH ALL THE DECISIONS MADE TODAY. (Y)

Okay I better go do my Jap homework now. Always doing it at the eleventh hour. :b

Reliving your childhood dreams.

Yesterday I was walking down citylink with Saiful and we talked about our childhood days.
& he suddenly mentioned how much he liked to act when he was young. Hahaha speech & drama days!

& then it suddenly struck me.

I LOVE ACTING WHEN I WAS YOUNG TOO. Like I really love how I was the lead actress in a fairytale act-out, and I was the director and scriptwriter! Whoa.

For a long time, I thought I didn't have any childhood dreams!
& now there's one. Wow.
& thinking about it, I think I still love it. I love putting myself into another person's shoes and lead their lives. Just for awhile. hahaha inspirational much?
& the last time I acted on a stage was actually just in 2009, for AC's Muse 2. I still remember how BenPooi thought I was such a good actress with me exaggerated facial expressions HAHA.

& suddenly I realise

I actually like teaching and marking. :O That is, when I was still young. I remember making worksheets, even for my mummy to do! & she actually played along. HAHA.

Hmmm.

ALRIGHT I MIGHT JUST GO FOR A MEDIACORP AUDITION NEXT TIME. HAHAHA.
Okay, that is if I have the guts.

P turns 19!

突发奇想！

Bathing is the time for deep thinking. :)

Before A's, all I wanted is A's to faster end so that I can fulfill my dreams one by one. Okay maybe I shouldn't call them dreams, more of ambitions. ;)
& now that A's has really ended, my life has never been more happening than this! :D

I spent the whole of Dec 2010 playing, relaxing, let loose and did many crazy stuff! I ended 2010 with a big bang and started 2011 just as crazily. & now, as January 2011 is approaching an end, I feel everything falling into place. I really can't wait for sooooo many things to happen! :D

In my KL trip with Cheryl, it was pure shopping.
I learnt: I need to earn lots of $$$$$$ in future to sustain my own crazily high shopping expenses.

In my trip to Japan,
I learnt again: I need lots of $$$$$ cos I couldn't resist the fashion, the food, and the place itself. & I got myself a new target to work towards: University of Tokyo!

In my trip to Shanghai,
I learnt: The importance of kinship. Everytime I go back to 爷爷奶奶's house, I got reminded how much I miss 奶奶. & this time, I witnessed my 爷爷's hair turned really really white, like his whole head is filled with white hair. I know I need to go back, need to spend more time with my grandparents while I still have the time.

In my 2nd trip to KL with my classmates,
I learnt: The importance of trust and communication. & I really had a great adventure, be it literally or not. :)

So now, I really took time to think of what I want to do in months to come, and maybe, future.

In 2011,

• Master Japanese level N3
  
• Driving License
• Sketching Class
• Dancing Class
  
• Build up my resume. I suddenly have the urge to teach kids. :) Tuition or piano!
  
• Enter NUS FASS, take up Japanese Studies & maybe New Media as a minor
  

& in the near future,

• Master Japanese level N1 by 2012/ 2013
• Get an internship in Japan/ schooling in Tokyo Uni(ideal situation)
• Learn French
• Go London/ Paris/ Milan to study fashion/ fashion marketing(I'd love to go with my cousin! hee)
• MBA in USA
  

Ask me what kind of job would I want to do next time. I don't really know. I want something related to the media/arts/fashion field, and definitely not be an OL.

Okay, this is a bit of a summary.
I'm doing my planning! Hee, this keeps me excited! :D

I hope to

• master Japanese, French and Italian by 25 years old.
• earn a million by 25 years old.
• get my own car(for now, aiming for a VW New Beetle) by 28 years old.
• get my own house(for now, a condo at Clarke Quay) by 30 years old. (I can even give you an idea about how my house will look at already!)

Recap of 2010, Hello 2011!

Thinking back, I'm extremely contented, I love 2010!
I don't know where to start from, it's wayyyy too many to list. hahaha, I just got a feeling this would be the longest blog post ever.

2010:

January: Start of the year w/o completing piles of my holiday homework. Went Genting with my parents to kickstart the year with all the thrilling rides! (Y) From then on, I love Baskin Robbins! Off the school, there, the nagging and warnings of A levels began. Waiting for J1s to come in, off the chiong tons of tutorials. New conductor in band, and that was when my nightmare began.

February: J1s came in, felt old 'cos we were constantly being reminded that we were seniors already & so we have to set a good example for them. -_- Never ending tutorials and band practices, life was so mundane, tried to psycho myself to study hard but always fail. Terribly. (lol)

March: Muse - A Time To Remember. Really a time to remember, Concert Grosso was so anyhow, but I liked the experience. hahaha it was fun, I'd love to try to perform it all over again, definitely better this time. (hor, cheryl?) After which, went on the prepare for our terms!

April: Results were okay, stress building up, no time to breathe 'cos tutorials were still never ending, band practices intensified 'cos no time for Muse 2. I was struggling like mad, but I survived. :)

May: GET FAT MONTH. Daddy's birthday the 1st week, then Mummy's day the 2nd, Mummy's birthday on the 3rd & all the good food comes again. hahaha rhymes leh! Studied like crazy again for H2s mid year! It was all crazy.

June: Muse 2 was okay, screwed up(not all on on playing) my solos again. That's it, my last official concert as a band member of ACBand was over. I'm done. Mixed feelings, but overall I'm quite happy. Oops. Thanks Melvin Ng, for getting back that solo for me. :) LA TRIP! It was awesome; disneyland, hollywood, competing in the disney concert hall, sneaking out in the middle of the night to try out USA burgers from Burgerland. Everyday was so fun despite the competition, got a Gold, returned to Singapore all happy and wrapped up!

July: Done with band, it was all about intensive studying for prelims. Hell yes, prelims was just a month away. I was so. NOT. prepared. tsk. Life has officially ended then.

August: Went back for a band prac for National Day's celebration. National Day's celebration was high as usual, had fun laughing away, stupid janan tried to snatch my phone again cos I was using it during the service >:( After which was free subway cookies time from the school, spend the time writing notes to each other(classmates), I was titled the 'Security Hair girl' due to my side bangs. HAHA. Free band lunch from the treat of Mr & Mrs Khoo at a classy restaurant! Official step down from band too. :) Celebrated Yap's birthday then Venus & Saiful's birthdays till next dawn. That was the only 2 days of the month when I had a life!

September: JC memeks were all having prelims, I spent my time slacking away my September holidays with all the dramas and outings with my classmates. Received shitty prelim results, finally woken up and back to reality. I finally decided to settle down, permanently. lol

October: One month away from A levels. Everything was crazy and scary. Preparations for A's sucked. Time was spented mugging away at NTU with saiful, atika(sometimes w anil) and other times doreen, Canadian pizzas, McDonald's were what we ate repeatedly. Weekdays were spent all day and night in school, mugging and doing stupid things with zhai, elim, isaac & joey. Parents' cooked food were always satisfactory, sometimes so delicious but there's no space in my tummy for a 2nd helping. Elim's turning round & round and running up the stairs, his favourite machine at the fitness corner near Blk 5(Wah Chee). Hahaha, aw, memories. <3 Memeks surprised me for a birthday dinner at Vivo's White Dog Cafe. I was so stunned 'cos I really didn't suspect a thing. & I was in my red collegiate. -_- I thought it was just a reunion before A's! Really! Received a blue polaroid :D HAPPY. I'd be happier if it's pink(okay sorry memeks :b), but it's okay. I'm contented. :D

November: I claimed it to be an awesome month 'cos I'm biased. But we all know it sucked and it felt like the longest month ever. Spent my entire birthday out with daddy & mummy; hoshi, skypark, fuse, secret recipe's cheese cake! Yes I know it's only 3 days before A's. lol. Lost my phone(AGAIN! yes I just have to think it's a birthday curse) just a few hours before my birthday! Failed ttm. Classmates celebrated my birthday. Zhai & Eugene stayed to countdown with me & sang a birthday song. :D A's started on a bad note, freaking chem paper 3 just killed me. I was so scared. I was demoralised. But being resilient, I was done being depressed and moved on. It just felt like the longest month ever. When physics p2 was over, it was HP7! Loved the temporary freedom. & saw my dearest direct juniors stepped down. I felt so old, once again. Hahaha I miss them so. :( When I was finally liberated, IT FELT SOOOOOOOOOO FREAKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD. Roamed around endlessly, went tampines for Ikea meatballs, chicken wings & daim cake, running around ikea with a half eaten chicken wing(EPIC) cos I lost Naz & Joey & my phone died! Sent Charlotte off at the airport & roamed around airport with Naz, Joey & Yap. :)

December: THE MONTH OF AWESOME FUN OVERSEAS. :) KL trip with cheryl, awesome presidential suite @ Ritz Carlton, awesome service, it was all about shopping. :) Times Square was so fun, lovin' all the 360degrees rides except DNA mixer, it was so painful! hahaha. Failed to find my prom dress though. Came back, met my 4/5 gang(ahhui, doreen & pohpoh) for a good meal and then prom shopping. Yes I bought everything in 1 day! :D My 1st time wearing contacts, & it's lilac purple! :D Prom was awesome, loved my makeup & hair, camwhored like mad. :D Got my Sony Ericsson Xperia & off I went to my dream country -- JAPAN!!! I wanted to go there since forever! IT FELT LIKE A DREAM COME TRUE, I SWEAR! I AM SOOOOOOO ELATED. :D Tokyo has everything high tech & quality, love their food, fashion & TOILETS. (Y) Hot spring was such a experience, the plucked up the courage to get naked just like everyone else. lol. Visited TODAI, my next big goal!!! Saw my Japanese uncle & younger cousin for the 1st time. It's been long since I saw my older cousin(the last time was 15years ago!) Transited @ Shanghai, visited all my grandparents, uncles, aunt & cousin. GOOD FOOD EVERY MEAL (Y) LIFE WAS SO GOOD. I was so sad that I was back. Went St James, to Zouk, to Zirca to Butter the night I came back. Only St james was boring, the others were all FREAKING PACKED. Gave up, went Wala Wala to end the night. HAHA. Rested for the next 4 days doing random stuffs celebrating Christmas by watching Meeting the Little Fockers with Saiful, eating Awfully Chocolate & night craving for Marche's Rosti. (Y) Life was getting more & more awesome. Set off for KL with Joey, Charlotte, Isaac, Zhai & Eugene. Dramatic trip! HAHA. But I enjoyed it tremendously, and lovin' all the monopoly deals in the late nights. (Y) I'M GONNA OWN!!! HAHAHAHA.

& finally, the COUNTDOWN:

Ended the year by going for Clarke Quay's BUNGEE GMAX with Saiful & Atika! (Y) Dugged empty our cash but LOVED THE THRILL!
After being thrown into air, all I shouted was "PENISSSSSSSSSSSS PENISSSSSSSSSS I LOVE PENISSSSSSSSSS" HAHAHAHAHAHA. Yes I was playing the Penis game in the air! Saiful too! While Atika just kept asking us to stop shouting penis. HAHAHAHA. but she failed. LOL
I swear we were sooooo loud, leon said they could hear us shouting right from the bottom. HAHAHA. (Y) It was such a good way to end the year, it felt so shiok! (Y) HOORAY

I'd love to go for the other one! :D YAY

Had Taco and Rum & Coke for dinner. The rum made me high. HAHA. Found a good spot on the bridge to countdown. Had trouble climbing that stupid wall. Zzz. Stupid arms no strength. hahaha. but everything else was good, the chips, then monopoly deal(I WON THE 1ST GAME, SEE THAT HELLO JOEY CHARLOTTE EUGENE ISAAC & ZHAI!!!) and the pig/charsiew game! & I lost. LOL. so I had to shout 'PENIS' 3 TIMES TO THE WHOLE WORLD(okay I meant the huge crowd in Clarke Quay). hahahaha I thought no one heard cos it was so noisy until I looked down & saw the angmoh family staring at me. LOL.

COUNTED DOWN, POPPED THE HALAL CHAMPAGNE(HAHAHA), EVERYONE ELSE WERE SPRAYING THOSE FOAM STUFF LIKE CRAZY, PARTY POPPERS POPPING IN MY EARS, EVERYONE WAS HIGH & DANCING TO NO MUSIC. HAHAHAHAHAHA. ATIKA & I SANG LIKE MAD THOUGH OUR PITCH WERE OFF AND WE SOUNDED SO BAD HAHAHAHA. ESP. PEACOCK HAHAHAHA. & SAIFUL COULDN'T STOP SINGING LAST FRIDAY NIGHT WITH HIS OFF PITCHES :b CAMWHORED, SANG, JUMPED, DANCE, SAYING HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL RANDOM PEOPLE (Y)

Met Zhai, Isaac & Joey to greet them outside timbre! I was high so I just exclaimed HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL THE FOREIGN WORKERS & THEY ALL SAID HAPPY NEW YEAR BACK TO ME HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. & Isaac shouted to them, "SHE WANNA GET LAID" HAHAHAHA DAMN YOU.

Continued walking in search a place for supper, but failed cos all either too packed or closed alr! Final stop was Bali Lane, Leon called like mad for a taxi to get us to Venus's place. hahaha I was so shagged alr!

But I got HIGH. Wait, VERY VERY VERY HIGH when I reached her place. MEMEKS reunion! Lousy ahchoo has work so she couldn't join us. :( but it was definitely a good time, we danced like crazy to the loud music, with venus's korean friend & boyfriend and jonas, elson & friends. The others were drunk & asleep or resting already. But it was good also, we had all the space to ourselves & I LOVE DANCING WITH VENUS'S MUM. HAHAHAHAHA SHE KEPT CARRYING ME. LOL. MEMEKS WERE ALL SO HIGHHHHHHHHH. LOVIN' EVERY MOMENT TTM, it was such a good workout. HAHAHA (Y)

Before we know it, it was already 6+am, oh man, when I finally sat down to rest, I was dead beat! Cabbed home with leon, bathed & kissed the bed at 9am.
hahaha woke up at 7pm! Had first my proper meal after 24hours. LOL.

It's all good, I LOVE THE NEW YEAR! (Y)


Alright, I'm still unemployed.
Time to settle down from all the fun to earn some moolahs so that I can save up to go aussie to visit jovita to snowboard!! (Y)
& it's time to register for my Jap classes too!
DRIVING LESSONS HERE I COME.


Gonna love lifeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee even more.

MISS YU

Born on 6 November '92 in Shanghai, virgin trip on the airplane at the age of 3 when she moved to Singapore. First language was Shanghainese. Only child thanks to the one child policy back then. Sang in the Choir in Primary School, played the alto saxophone in the military band in Secondary School, then the tenor saxophone in the concert band in Junior College. Currently majoring in Linguistics & Multilingual Studies in NTU. Part time Beauty Advisor for Lancôme Paris. Tutor for Primary & Secondary School students.
Learnt some basic design sketching(fashion), yoga and modern jazz - and loved them. Loves travelling, beauty stuff, food, photography and languages. Learning 日本語, Française & la lingua italiana. Wants to learn German and play the cello.
