November!

IT'S FINALLY NOVEMBER!


Time passes too fast before I could catch a proper breath! Oh well, my life is #foreverhectic, never letting myself rest even if I could. -_- So, the most hectic week of the semester has finally come to an end! All the heavy assignments & research papers & french oral are finally o.v.e.r! The next big thing? FINAL EXAMS. Oh crap, 3 months of school just passed like that! At the rate this is going, uni life definitely is going to zooooooooom past!

And yes, I'm turning old tomorrow! Right now I'm just trying to savour my last few hours of being an 18! It was awesome, I haven't felt so liberated ever in my life before. I get to do literally whatever I want(because I earned them myself), nevertheless, I'm so glad for supportive parents. :)

I had a checklist of what I wanted to achieve while I'm 18. Although it's such a regret that I don't get to check them all, but I guess that's what life is all about! We set our targets high enough(realistic at least), and leaving a few unchecked and we move on, telling ourselves to do better the next year! :)

Also, although certain things turn out the way it wasn't supposed to be, I guess I just got to concede to the fact that things happen for a reason. Le sigh.

It's okay! I'm a contented girl(not entirely, I always want more). Have had 2 birthday celebrations so far, and I'm so thankful for the people I have with me.

The first came as a total surprise from my university course mates! It was a loooooong day till 7pm and I thought we were just going for a normal dinner... until Laurence suddenly showed up @ Pepper Lunch(JP) while we were halfway through our dinner. & I could still think she just happened to be there(she stays nearby) until they said "Happy birthday!" It was so sweet, and I'm so thankful for these friends :) --considering the fact that I didn't go for an orientation plus I have no official CCA other than the Deli Apprecio Club(we don't mingle around, we just eat with our own friends!)

Just had my 2nd round today with my 13th century dutch ladies(ahhui, wee ahpoh & doreen)! I create the label for them myself 'cos ALL 3 OF THEM ARE DISCONNECTED FROM THE SOCIAL MEDIA. Okay recently doreen miraculously created a facebook account and I got the shock of my life. Anyhow, she's still very conserved about that with all the stringent privacy settings. On the other hand, we have ahhui who still doesn't have a facebook profile picture despite having hundreds of tagged photos. -____- (I guess that's how bestfriends complement each other, we're the direct opposites, in every way I can think of.) So it was Japanese cuisine + cake, macarons & ice-cream for desserts! Ahhui exclaimed that I ate too much, she didn't say this before, so I guess I really did. (that explains my face becoming rounder than ever and I guess I just gained another kg or 2. AHHH)


K I KNOW I'M GONNA HAVE CAKES COMING SO I BETTER GO LOSE SOME FATS NOW.

MISS YU

Born on 6 November '92 in Shanghai, virgin trip on the airplane at the age of 3 when she moved to Singapore. First language was Shanghainese. Only child thanks to the one child policy back then. Sang in the Choir in Primary School, played the alto saxophone in the military band in Secondary School, then the tenor saxophone in the concert band in Junior College. Currently majoring in Linguistics & Multilingual Studies in NTU. Part time Beauty Advisor for Lancôme Paris. Tutor for Primary & Secondary School students.
Learnt some basic design sketching(fashion), yoga and modern jazz - and loved them. Loves travelling, beauty stuff, food, photography and languages. Learning 日本語, Française & la lingua italiana. Wants to learn German and play the cello.
