CMB is L O V E. (:

Congratulations my dearest CMB, you've made music during that 15minutes on stage on 6 April.
I am extremely proud of you guys, really.
When I was waiting for you guys to walk up the stage, my heart was thumping as fast as yours, I swear. I crossed my fingers and interlocked my hands(don't ask me how I did it) throughout your performance. Yes, your performance. My hairs were at its ends(take into account that I'm kinda hairy :b), all standing all because your music moved me.

So what is it's a silver medal?
This pathetic colour doesn't determine your standard. You know yourselves, your ability is not just that. You guys have been through so much, worked your heads off, please give yourselves a good pat on the shoulder. You very much deserve it. :)

It's inevitable that you guys feel like what-the-hell-I-don't-think-CMB-deserves-this, but it's done. You guys did your very best, (Mr.) Kenneth De Souza gave his all on stage, just keep that moment in your hearts. You'll never have that experience again with the same band, so treasure it. :)

Move on my dear juniors, aim for the better & show the whole world what you've got.
When things get tough, the tough gets going. So you guys be tough all right!
You've got your Limelight coming!


When someone asks you, "which band are you from?"
You're gonna answer, "COMMONWEALTH MILITARY BAND!" right in their face!
Show them the CMB spirit, the togetherness(like a family) that never fades even though batches after batches graduate.


& please do not compare yourselves with other CCAs in Commonwealth, like what Miss Ong said, there's only ONE band in Commonwealth, and that's CMB. No other.
Be proud of CMB, be proud of yourselves, just like how I am proud of you & CMB today.


Good job CMB, good job my dearest SAXY SECTION!
You've come thus far, improved more than expected by many of the seniors.
I want to see you guys Shine even more in days to come. YOU GO CMB! :D

P/S When I see charlotte cried for the first time in her band life since Sec 1, & all my noisy direct juniors who suddenly kept quiet for the longest time since I knew them, it was really heart aching. :(

P/P/S Venus lim! You've done a good job in guiding your section & giving CMB motivation along the way, now it's time to concentrate on your studies and prove your Math teacher that you didn't waste your time shining on stage with CMB. :D Memeks will always be there for you. :)

woke up @ 8.10am, by my mum.
and I was like WHAT?!

she cheated my feelings 'cos she told me it was 7.10am when I jumped up.
so I was like super late. -_-
on call taxi & chiong to school, but still missed chem prac. tsktsk.

the worst of all, I HAD TO DO CWDC.
not the normal DC that we just have to do self study from 1630 to 1800.
it's called the unlucky friday when there's LABOUR WORK TO DO on alternate weeks.
damn shitty lah, went to carry bricks. so stupidddddddddd & gross! ended up with lots of mosquito bites instead. :S

Born on 6 November '92 in Shanghai, virgin trip on the airplane at the age of 3 when she moved to Singapore. First language was Shanghainese. Only child thanks to the one child policy back then. Sang in the Choir in Primary School, played the alto saxophone in the military band in Secondary School, then the tenor saxophone in the concert band in Junior College. Currently majoring in Linguistics & Multilingual Studies in NTU. Part time Beauty Advisor for Lancôme Paris. Tutor for Primary & Secondary School students.
Learnt some basic design sketching(fashion), yoga and modern jazz - and loved them. Loves travelling, beauty stuff, food, photography and languages. Learning 日本語, Française & la lingua italiana. Wants to learn German and play the cello.
