Banddddd. (;
SO!
TOMORROW IS THE BIG DAY!
Yours truly is playing in the Durian!
Super super cool, super super exciting, I guess it's 'cos it's the first time! :D
Played in NAFA in Secondary 1, Orchard Hotel Ball Room in Secondary 2, Singapore Conference Hall in Secondary 3, Victoria Concert Hall in Secondary 4,
&
ESPLANADE CONCERT HALL
in JC 1.
I think my band life is super cool. :b
so anyway, those of you who are coming to support,
THANK YOU VERY SUPER MUCH! :D
thanks for sacrificing some time to watch ACJC Concert Band's Muse on a weekday! (:
so anyway, I guess it's getting better & better, though not of super high standard & quality, please recognise the effort!
I spent less than but almost 2 months practising for 8 challenging pieces.
I wouldn't say I'm good at this stage, but I tried, really.
(the process is super tough & tiring, I struggled like crazy, super super stress! D:)
so, forgive me, & those people who joined the band only in February if you think the band didn't do a good job!
but rest assure that we'll definitely play our best tomorrow. :)
YOUJING
is super super tired.
apart from band practises, stacks of tutorials are piling up.
I'm trying my best to cope, but I guess I'm not, for now.
(Super super stress, again)
thus,
YOUJING
can't wait for CAPERS to launch!
it's a programme organised by ACJC for every CCA as it's the Peak season for competitions & all.
it's gonna be like study sessions as a CCA right after the season is over, super super cool! hahaha.
guess I'll really have to work super hard during that period!
for now,
it's all guiltiness(sp). :S
didn't blog for the entire week simply 'cos of above reasons!
so,
highlight of the week was the
Band Exchange with Tezukayma High School, which is the sister school of ACJC.
the Japanese band is super good!
The saxophone solos played by them in Mononoke is like...
Oh your god.
& guess what?
They're only 15(& 16?)!
tsktsk, I should dig a hole to hide my face. :O
the sudden increase in number of players made me feel like I'm back in CMB.
'cos I'm finally sitting to the left side on the 2nd row.
lol.

4 saxophone players, 3 altos & 1 tenor.
Natsumi(tenor player) could own the whole lower winds, super power!
Saki, Yuki & Yukimi are super pro too!
the funny things during the exchange was all caused by communication problems!
it's like 鸡对鸭讲, super funny!
so all the hand actions will come out, point here point there & all the facial expressions. hahaha!
(I SO WANNA LEARN JAPANESE & GO JAPAN!!!
Btw, 本小姐 wants to take Japanese Studies in NUS. super cool!
speaking of that, I seriously don't understand the use of PCME.
well, I think i'm just like the commoners, play safe. :/)
okay let's get back from digress!
so, the 2 days spent with them was super short yet memorable.
they're really nice people, courteous and all.
(must be the Jap culture. hahaha)
introduced bonding games and played with them, super funny!
& when it was time to say goodbye, Saki even cried all the way from the time she left the band room till she board the bus(& still crying while waving goodbye).
依依不舍 - perfect idiom to describe that moment.
& all I could do was to shake hands with them many times, telling them to Gambate in Japan, giving them lots of thumbs up for their good performance, told them to have fun @ Sentosa the next day, and goodbye hugs.
& btw they've got super cooooool saxophone cases!
like metallic blue with the saxophone shape, with lots of cute stickers on it!
super stylo milo! hahaha.
well,
that's all for my band life now.
OFF TO CHIONG HOMEWORK!
& screw pe tmr!
2.4km before Esplanade performance. -_-
good luck to me, such a challenge on my stamina!

Earth Hour
(oh my god, I'm here again! but whatever)was doing my GP articles thing and I came across this really interesting event that's coming up next Saturday in the whole world!
Do you guys know what is it?
It's
EARTH HOUR!
(you'll probably catch it if you read yesterday's papers)
I thought it was super cool so I came & blog about it. hahaha.
so anyway, it goes like this(if you don't know) :
Next Saturday, 28 March 2009, 1800 cities in 80 countries have committed to switch off their lights for an hour. It is a cumulative show of solidarity to demonstrate how working together can make a difference in the fight against climate change.
Singapore has actively participated in it & thus, famous local landmarks such as the Merlion, the Singapore Flyer and the Esplanade will "go dark". The prime shopping district of Orchard Road will also be blanketed in Darkness, with landmarks such as Wheelock Place, Paragon Shopping Centre and Wisma Atria switching off their facade lights and other external lighting.
So, if you people out there are fascinated by this event just like how I am, head down to these places and check it out!
If not, YOU PEOPLE CAN TAKE PART TOO!
(Note: No application form is required. :b)
You just have to switch off the lights in your entire house for an hour, from 2030hours to 2130hours on 28 March 2009, next Saturday!
JOIN IN THIS SYMBOLIC GESTURE! :D
okay, off to continue with GP & other homework.

Sunday, March 22, 2009 @ 6:36 PM / 0 daisies
Good afternoon folks!
I hate to say this but it's the end of March holidays. :(
& it was nothing like holidays.
The whole week was about band prac, band prac & more band prac.
even Mrs Chua said that she admired our perseverance 'cos we've got no life. -_-
but well oh well, we'll reap what we sow, so hopefully, all these effort will not go down the stinking drains. :)
by the way, my homework is more than half undone.
(so you see, I shouldn't be here in the first place. :S)
I've only done GSC, oh my so favourite subject.
Seriously, I think I entered the wrong stream, & or rather, I chose the wrong route.
I have entirely no interest for Physics now, partly because of the teacher.
Chemistry is interesting but I see no use afterall studying it.
Practically almost everything I learnt in Secondary School has to be brainwashed & I've got to learn to accept new facts.
I so feel like studying practical stuff now. :(
okay, whatever, I just can't wait for A levels to end. (though I only started learning the course for a month. gosh)
---
went Takashimaya, B2, my foooooood paradise!
with my parents on friday after settling the passport thing.
mummy won $200 taka vouchers during her D&D, and up till now, we only spent it on food.
only the food there is worth the money, seriously. HAHAHA. Yum yum~
anyway, told my dad I loved the brownies they bought the other time.
so WOOHOO, we bought it again!
we bought the 4 bestsellers, and the place is actually "The Brownies Factory".
TOTALLY DELICIOUSSSS.

Go try it, 5 STARS! :D
then, we also bought Mochi the creamery!
yes, THE MOCHI ICE-CREAM!!!
1 for $2, crazy deal. BUT IT'S SO GOOOOOOD FOR THE TUMMY!
okay, I've gone crazy, I shall go pop another one in my mouth, like, RIGHT NOW!
we bought a box, 6 for $11. :D
the good thing about it is that they provide you with dry ice which last for 1h 30min, so that you can travel from Takashimaya to wherever you stay, w/o having to worry that it will melt.
(gosh, the company should pay me for advertising lah! :P)
that's not all,
when you go there,
you can never afford to forget to satisfy your tastebud with
TAKOYAKI!!!
or rather, Takopachi, as the shop calls it.
super duper ultra delicious.
oooooooh~ mieeeeeee~ goddddd!
so anyway, we had extremely good food for lunch.
plus the Japanese noodles with cheese that melts in your mouth.
hoohoo~
enough said, let's see some photos that are good for the eyes. ;b
oh yeah, this bakery is found there too.
Owned by a Japanese.
Tasty pastries & bread.
Mini breads & pastries from there are my current breakfast! :)
camwhoring while I rested my feet after having blisters from the killer heels. :x
no reception & all. :S
---
I thought this was totally cool!
& I wonder how the ACJC freeze will turn out. hahaha.
Just a random video clip that I made with my handphone during the long bus ride to the embassy. :)

youjing has yet to touch her homework.
oh god my lord, I wonder how I'm gonna finish them all. -_-
good luck youjing.
ohya, I passed my band concert auditions unexpectedly. :O
youjing will work hard, don't worry.
thanks for those who bought tickets & are coming to support!
& thanks for those who can't make it but are giving moral support. lol
off for my beauty sleep now!
P/S didn't know I can leave such an impression on njc band conductor after so long. feels good to be remembered & appreciated. lol. but well oh well, the admins didn't want to take me in, so yeah, youjing ended up at ac band instead. kinda miss the seniors there, hope they're doing fine. :) youjing isn't a good player in ac. :(
but it's not for me to decide anymore.

don't ask me why, but daddy just decided to give us a treat.
don't ask me why, but daddy just decided to give us a treat.
so, we headed to Ichiban Sushi @ IMM for dinner.
woohoo. :)
the red colour is actually strawberry (jam?).
it's nice. :D
but ended with 20 plates. heh heh!
when it comes to Japanese food, my tummy immediately expand.
Don't question me W H Y. :p
---
LOL, if you realised, it's the same people.
hahahah.
anyhow, camwhore becomes part of my timetable.

more interesting photos on facebook.
superb funny. HAHAHA.
I like 1SB4. :)
---
she's the best partner ever lah, I miss those old days in CSS!
like seriously, sometimes I just miss crapping & bullying her.
now it's just different people. :S
well oh well, life goes on.
Jiayou ahhui!
take care & see you soon okay! :)
she was the first person who came & interact with me for quite a long time during the sec 1 orientation. LOL.
& she was once my laogongg~(gongg as in blur that gong).
westlife_ngwanen, you're missed too!
they're like my company during recess and all lah.
haiyo. :(
youjing is in AC, 'cos she's an NJ reject. :(
if not I can be with them already lah!
stupid amath. Okay I won't start. :/
he die die don't want to bend down, but I look tall anyway. :P
eugene(you jin) in my class for 4 years.
& my life association with 'you jin(eugene)' this name doesn't stop here.
'cos there's another eugene in my class right now, so for another 2 years.
oh god, so whenever a non-chinese teacher starts to call names,
it's goes
'YOU JIN(G) YOU JIN(G)'
then,
youjing & eugene will look at each other and back at the teacher.
but usually, the victim is eugene & not youjing.
'cos non-chinese teachers never like to call chinese names.
HAHAHA. :P
---
so,
---
so,
there's band later.
good luck youjing.
good morning everybody.
youjing doesn't look forward to school.
it's gonna be monday blues in AC.
no longer sunday blues when I was back in commonwealth.
