Happy New Year's Eve!

TIME FLIES LIKE CRAZY!
it's 31st December already - the New Year's Eve!
I can't believe it's 2009 in 21 hours. SIAO.

W O W !
Have been busy working everyday since the 18th and only got 1 day of break which was on the 28th to have a belated christmas celebration with memeks! (photos up soon I promise! ;D)
This can totally explain for the lack of updates & being MIA from the WWW!
So, I'm forgiven! :D

Anyway it has been a very busy year.
Life was about studies since I stepped down from CMB, and the tedious & strenuous life cycle went on for months after months.
& TADA!
Everything was over after 4 weeks of O's.
Despite all these, I really miss the feeling now. hahaha
I miss schooling, wearing the sky blue uniform, going for band practices, going for remedials after remedials, doing papers after papers after papers.
Everything has come to an end, all these won't repeat again, guessed I've had my chance, & it's time to move on and get ready to face a brand new challenge.
Wonder how's the life ahead's gonna be like. Hmmm.


Had been working at Watsons Westmall, my first official job!
At first as a gift wrapper for christmas, then just like any other watsons worker to check stocks, do front facing & all. Really good experience that I don't learn from textbooks!
I would count myself very lucky to have such friendly, funny & helpful yet serious & efficient colleagues.
They're not what I initially thought of as scary, cold & etc. So I haven't met those kind of cunning and selfish people in the society yet. (seems like a good start huh? ;b)
Their teamwork & efficiency makes me want to work hard with them as well. Yay, good job! (do the thumbs up sign)
They're super nice to me, have been receiving gifts from most of them, feel so pampered. HAHAHA.
I thank them sincerely for teaching me patiently and tolerating my nonsense. (they know why :p)
Will miss them a lot after later, 'cos will be working for the last day later already!
So do feel free to drop by Watsons Westmall, 'cos you'll be entertained by really good people, I promise! :D

& Memeks gathering on the 28th was fun!
Never fail to enjoy myself tremendously whenever I'm with them, feel the connection! x)
Can't wait for the picnic tomorrow! HAHAHA!

So overall, 2008 was very dramatic. (I seriously have no idea what word to use, and how to describe, so just allow your creative juices to run & tell you why.)
Turned Sweet 16, YouJing grow up a lil more, and now with a much stronger heart pumping from within. :)

Finally getting paid!

after a long long wait, I know you peopleee miss me a lot lah. :P HAHAHA!

SO, I'm back with lots of pressies!
Okay, not a lot actually.
'cos I didn't had a lot of time for shopping at souvenir stores, did most of the shopping at departmental stores, food malls & supermarkets(my 外公外婆 kept bringing me there to ask me to buy whatever I want to eat, feel damn pampered lah! :p). So I spent most of the time with grandparents instead.
I really really want them to be blessed with good health. It's so heart-aching to be not able to share the burden. :(


Anyway, I miss the good food there now.
Whenever we go out in Singapore, fast food would come to mind first, 'cos we as teenagers, seriously can't afford good & healthy food. At most, food courts, which doesn't seem appealing at all.
I'm seriously sick of them after tasting all the good yet very affordable food there. :S
Okay okay, TIME TO CONTROL MT MOUTH! :x hahaha


Yeterday was a day out with Memeks w/o ahchooo!
'cos she's down with food poisoning(Macau ah! tsktsk! just kidding! hahaha) Haiyo, GET WELL SOOOOOOON MEMEK!
We watched Twilight(Sneak Preview) at Cineleisure with VERY VERY IRRITATING PEOPLE who kept laughing and clapping so loudly like some retards who ran out of the mental hospital. I'm cursing them! heh heh heh!
Damn inconsiderate lah.
But anyway, the movie's okay, the ending was kind of abrupt, but nair & atika are crazy over the movie(the guys in it esp). lol!
Had lunch at BBQ Chicken(some korean restaurant), average quality food! :S
Headed to Jurong Point after the movie, walked around & yada yada & ended up rotting at McDonald's. -_-


Going out in 30min to find jobs!
I WANT MONEYYYYYYYY.
or I should say, I WANT TO EARN MY OWN MONEYYYYYY. :D that sounds better! heh

Itchy Hands!

Itchy hands itchy hands, daddy's old lappy is still tempting! hahaha
Though the connection sucks(it's dial-up by the way), at least there's internet! :D
Have been eating good food for breakfast, lunch, dinner & even for snacks.
Shit man, I'm sure I've gained at least 2kg. :(
But who cares, it shall be like that for the rest of the week till I return to Singapore. :D
Good food comes first, weight shall be second. :b AIYA, GOOD FOOD IS TOO TEMPTING LAHHHH.
Think on a positive note, I only get to eat these stuffs once in a long long while, so FORGIVEN! YAY!

Anyway went to a very Gold Plated restaurant(王朝) yesterday for dinner with 伯伯's family.
The place looks uber gold man, like palace like that, very very nice! :) Pretty pretty~
The food was nice too, love it! :D
Good ambience + good food = perfect match! ;)
As we were talking, we realised the 2 young waitresses serving us are 16 year olds.
(So the next immediate reaction is expected.)
They claimed they were from a tourism school in Guizhou(I seriously don't know where this state is), and were there as trainees with one big group of people who will be staying there for 3-4months. They're already preparing for their future prospects! Interesting huh?

It's only 7+pm now but the sky looks as if it's already 12am. -_-
& the sun rises super early!
So all the people here mostly 早睡早起, 身体好! lol.
When it's dark, it just makes you sleepy. :S


Did some shopping just now at 南京路, very big place for shopping!
Bought lots of chocolates & sweets, some scarfs which only cost SG $3, super cheap!
The McDonald's here have more varieties like Pineapple Sundae, Green Apple/Mocca/Grape cone! Singapore McDonald's should just add more varieties before people get sick of them lah. Or are they already sick of it? (I AM! hahaha)
I WANT MORE SHOPPINGGGGG. x)
Bugging my parents to go out with me later again to "stroll", obviously it's to go shopping. :b heh heh heh!
姑姑(whom I call niangniang)'s going back to Japan tomorrow already. I finally got to see her this time! The last time I saw her was 11 years ago, when I'm only 5, in Singapore. But I had vague memories lah. hahaha.
I loveeeeee Japan chocolates & snacks lahhh. I WANT GO JAPANNNN.
Daddy says Uni days I can go myself, walao, people 16 year olds already travelling with friends lor! Not fair. :( So much being the only child again. :/

Anyway I've got around SGD $300 plus for shopping already! :D

HELLO PEOPLE! :D
Yup yup, 本小姐's at Shanghai now, using daddy's lappy to blog. :D

Anyway, it's super cold here, around -1 degree celsius, experiencing freezing point of water!
lol, am wearing 3 layers on top, 2 layers below & booties, which are still not enough to keep the body warm! :S (seems that my hairs on the skin & head aren't that useful after all. :/)

Yesterday was very solemn, sigh, seeing 奶奶 lying there was so torturous.
眼泪没有办法,就是那么不听话地流下来.
Tears filled the whole place.
She's no longer breathing. :(
okay okay, stop stop.
At least, she left with her smile. Her lips are smiling.
Her journey stopped yesterday.

It just happened so suddenly, so I didn't know how to react and how to really face it.
Became kind of senstive to words nowadays, I'm sorry about that.
I guess I'm feeling much better already, and I've really learnt something.


As much as I regret that I didn't do much or spent time with her, and the last time I saw her was during the Chinese New Year period, I know she wouldn't want to see me in this manner.
I miss her calling my name in Shanghai dialect, & she gave me most of my childhood memories there.
Shit, the thought of it can just activate my tear gland.
The trip back to Shanghai this Saturday would be really dull. :(
Well, take a deep breath, I shall go on with life.

Went back to band camp for all 3 days but stayed over at Nair's.
Thank you Venus & Nair for the Kinder Bueno & Ice-cream & KFC breakfast & Chips. :)
Really sweet of you two. hahah.

I shan't comment on their playing, you people know it yourselves.
But I just can't help it but to feel happy to see those familiar faces again.
Maybe everything's different from before, but the least that made me want to go back is because of the people(I once knew) there.
I'm not sure if they've changed for the better or for the worse, but still, I see them grow up.(Not that I'm that old.)

I realised, as much as the seniors complained about the current state of the band, they're also concern about the band at the same time.
So much so that we comment about your playing and attitude 'cos we want to help.
If not why, do we even want to go back?
So do you people get the good intentions right?

Since I've already relinquished my power to you, do make full use of it.
& Good luck my dear juniors, I'll be waiting to say "good job" & "I'm proud of you guys!".

Born on 6 November '92 in Shanghai, virgin trip on the airplane at the age of 3 when she moved to Singapore. First language was Shanghainese. Only child thanks to the one child policy back then. Sang in the Choir in Primary School, played the alto saxophone in the military band in Secondary School, then the tenor saxophone in the concert band in Junior College. Currently majoring in Linguistics & Multilingual Studies in NTU. Part time Beauty Advisor for Lancôme Paris. Tutor for Primary & Secondary School students.
Learnt some basic design sketching(fashion), yoga and modern jazz - and loved them. Loves travelling, beauty stuff, food, photography and languages. Learning 日本語, Française & la lingua italiana. Wants to learn German and play the cello.
